We need to discover new methods, devise new solutions, and develop new ideas, also in the field of analytical chemistry. And that's where you come in.

About the Role

The position is aimed for a flexible and skilled analytical chemist who will join our R&D team on a weekly ad interim basis. This role is ideal for professionals who are available for short-term assignments and can quickly adapt to new environments and tasks.

What You Will Do

  • Perform sample preparations and analyses according to standardized work methods in the field of material characterisation (e.g., powder characterisation, PSD) and (in)organic chemistry (ICP-OES).
  • Carry out non-standard analysis tasks within a defined framework, including for complex samples.
  • Evaluate and record results and report deviations if necessary.
  • Work according to established quality procedures.
  • Perform prescribed maintenance and checks on assigned equipment and report technical issues.
  • Work in a team, share information with colleagues and the team leader.
  • Develop method descriptions and manuals.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.

Profiel

Who We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's in Chemistry.
  • Strong interest in analytical chemistry. Experience in general (in)organic chemistry.
  • Willingness to explore new methods in the domain of powder characterization, such as PSD, BET, and LECO.
  • Comfortable with working in different teams in a flexible regime
  • Ability to work independently and accurately.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Social and communicative.
  • Attention to and respect for quality, safety, and the environment.
  • Availability on a weekly basis for short-term assignments.
