Our customer is an international player that specializes in producing animal proteins for cosmetics, preservative and pet food.
Do you get energy from managing a production line? Moreover, do you know how to drive a forklift? Then you are the operator in the blood processing department we are looking for!
Your duties:
- You are responsible for the optimal functioning of your department.
- You are responsible for the process, from basic product to packing.
- You take care of the control of the department, both of the raw materials and of the packaging.
- You can solve technical faults like no other. If necessary, you will call in a technician.
- You describe setting up the machines as your passion.
- You are also responsible for the weekly cleaning of the department.

How does the production process work?
- You pick up the pig skins in the refrigerator with the forklift and put them in the machine.
- The machine will eventually heat and cut them up so that the fat and moisture are gone.
- This leaves a sticky emulsion. This goes into the dryer and comes out as a kind of parchment paper.
- That "paper" goes into the machine to be ground into a dry pellet (collagen pellet).
- Finally, this grain is mixed again with water. This creates a sticky slightly dirtier substance.

Your profile:
- Heavy physical work does not deter you (repeated lifting of 25 kg).
- Driving a forklift? You know how to do it like no other.
- Experience in the food sector is a plus but not a must.
- You meet food hygiene guidelines.
- A stable work history is a strong asset.
- You have a good command of the Dutch language, both reading and writing.
- You are flexible and open for new tasks
- You are open for new knowledges.
