Description
As a Ripening Process Operator, you are responsible for managing the entire ripening process of bananas. You ensure that the fruit always reaches customers at the right moment and meets the highest quality standards. You monitor inventory, inspect incoming goods, and take immediate action if quality standards are not met. You work closely with your team and report directly to the supervisor.
A typical workday begins with inspecting incoming bananas and assessing their quality according to a fixed schedule. You then monitor the ripening process, set the correct temperatures, and ensure the optimal ripeness of the product. You fill out daily control documents and share product information with colleagues. You also resolve minor technical issues, maintain a tidy workspace, and actively suggest improvements for work processes or tools.

- Minimum secondary school diploma
- P1 phyto license is a plus
- Forklift experience and/or certification is a plus but not required
- Good command of Dutch or willingness to learn
- Able to communicate clearly with your supervisor
- Stress-resistant and logical thinker
- Hands-on mentality; able to work independently and as part of a team

- Salary between €18 and €20 per hour, depending on experience
- Meal vouchers of €9 per day worked
